Lake Forest High School District 115 Seeking Community Members for Board of Education Committees
Community Members Sought for LFHS Board Committees
Community representatives interact with Board Members and administrators, participate in committee work, and provide valuable input. All Lake Bluff, Knollwood and Lake Forest residents, both parents and non-parents, are invited to apply. Appointments are for two years and will be based on interest and qualifications.
Two openings each will be filled on the Education and Finance/Operations Committees.
The Education Committee provides oversight to all major District 115 educational initiatives, new programs, and makes recommendations to the Board of Education on major topics or matters related to curriculum and instruction. The committee provides guidance to management on the accomplishment of educational strategic initiatives and improvement of student outcomes. (Meets quarterly and as needed.)
The Finance/Operations Committee participates in the shaping of strategic financial directions and monitors all policies related to the financial administration of District 115. In addition, this committee contributes input to the District's operational areas: facility management, transportation, and food service. (Meets quarterly and as needed.)
If you are interested in serving on the District 115 Education Committee or Operations/Finance Committee, please submit your application online at:
