As Director of Curriculum for District 65, Kellie Bae works with principals, assistant principals, district committees, teachers, and subject matter specialists in developing curriculum consistent with district philosophy and goals. This includes coordinating and evaluating the curricula and instructional programs and recommending changes and/or modifications, and overseeing gifted and enrichment programs and services. In addition, she plans and carries out school-wide and district-wide professional development activities.

Before being promoted to this position, Ms. Bae served as a certified Reading/Enrichment Specialist for District 65. Previously, she was a grade 3 classroom teacher in Lake Bluff, grades 1 and 2 teacher in Schaumburg School District 54, and a classroom teacher assistant for grades K through 2 in that Schaumburg school district.

Ms. Bae earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Iowa State University and earned her M.S. Ed., in Reading from National-Louis University.
